Make your own washing up liquid!

Homemade washing up liquid Running low on washing up liquid? Make your own! Lemon washing up liquid You'll need: 2 lemons 425 ml water 60 ml white vinegar 135 g coarse salt Directions: Cut lemons into cubes, remove seeds and place them in a saucepan with 125 ml of water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently until the water turns like a syrup and the lemons are very soft. Take off the heat and pour the contents of the saucepan into a blender. Add the remaining water and blend to a smooth mixture. Pour through a sieve to remove the pulp; pour back into the saucepan. Add the salt and vinegar. Mix. Bring to boiling again and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently until it's like a sauce. Turn off the heat and allow to cool; stirring now and then. Store in the refrigerator. Plus some more instructions you could take a look at here: The Guardian Zero Waste Club (video) Friends of the Earth

Taking over Plot 38b

Late in 2019, we took over a half plot at the Granville Park Allotments in Urmston, Greater Manchester. It's a bonny little plot tucked away from the main thoroughfare. I'll be honest - it needed some work a bit of attention, including the shed. I'll be posting more about our progress and sharing what we manage to grow! The Shed we inherited In front of the shed - an array of paving slabs
